What type of rider are you?

This is a riding lesson as well as a scenic tour over 12km of the pristine Wartook Valley region of the Grampians National Park.

We cater for all levels in one trip, covering a variety of unique wildlife, riding techniques and pristine scenary, but then this 1200 acre property has been purpose built for just that....a truely unique and personal experience.

Tranquility ensures with the noticable absence of cars, bush walkers or motor bikes...just you, freedom and a horse!

Beginner Riders.....what to expect

You are 80% of our business and for many of you it's your first time.

We give you some material to read, select a suitable plodder for you, mount you up using some mounting steps. show you how to steer and stop, give you a five minute pre-brief while mounted as to where everything is and how it works.

We head off at the walk encouraging you to test the controls.

We stop after 1km and show you how to do the rising trot.

We practice this in bite size easy sections and after two and half hours you should have developed the independant seat.

This means you can comfortably and confidently control the horse by yourself.

We won't let you go to a canter in your first lesson!
